The general requirements for baptism at St Matthew's Cathedral are;
1. Presence of eligible God parents or sponsors who must have showed proof of being baptized and confirmed members of the anglican church, gone through pre-baptism trainning offered at church and above 18years of age.
2. Must pick registration forms at church, fill them and return them to church for proper documentation.
3. All personnels involved in the baptism process must attend on the day of Baptism in church or any other organised place.
4. You should remember to come with a thanks giving offering on the day of baptism.
5. Be sure to pick your baptism card from church once you are informed that it is ready.
Note: Special baptism dates can be organised at home depending on the parent's choice.
For marriage at St Matthew's Cathedral the following must be present;
1. Faith and membership: At least one of the partners should ideally be Anglican("Baptized & Confirmed")
2. Age and status: Both partners must be above 18years of age and single as per marital status.
3. Presentation of essential documentation: These include copies of Baptism and confirmation cards, National IDs and parental consent letters for both parties.
Church processes:
i. Notice: Marriage banns("public notice") is read in church thrice.
ii. Fees: All the fees involved can be discussed directly with the parish priests.
iii. Best man/matron: Must be married Anglican communion members.
