St. Matthew's Cathedral
Anchored in Christ for unity, stability and peace(Ephesians 2:14-17)

About Us

We are a community of believers firmly rooted in Christ, serving God and our community with faith, hope, and love

Our Story

St. Matthew's Cathedral stands as a beacon of faith in Masindi, Uganda. For decades, our cathedral has been a spiritual home where generations have gathered to worship, find community, and grow in their faith journey.

Anchored in Christ: Our theme reflects our unwavering commitment to remaining steadfast in Jesus Christ, our anchor in the storms of life. Just as an anchor keeps a ship secure, Christ keeps us grounded in faith, hope, and love.

The cathedral serves as the mother church of the Anglican community in Masindi, providing spiritual guidance, pastoral care, and a place of refuge for all who seek God's presence. Our history is marked by faithful service, community outreach, and a commitment to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Throughout the years, St. Matthew's Cathedral has been a center for worship, education, and social transformation. We have weathered challenges, celebrated victories, and remained committed to our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Today, St. Matthew's Cathedral continues to be a place where the Gospel is preached, the sacraments are celebrated, and God's people are equipped for ministry. We are proud of our heritage and excited about our future as we remain anchored in Christ.
